Bad Ass Diecast, Inc.The web is an amazing place to take your business. Fuel Multimedia, a Jacksonville Web Design Company, can propel your business into the web. We work hard so you can have your cake and eat it too. Your new web site will be eye-catching, intuitive & functional for its visitors. It will be appealing to the search engines. Some companies like to rattle off a big list of acronyms like php, mySQL, AJAX to intimidate and confuse their potential customers. We’ll spare you the semantics and just say that we take a lot of different stuff and pour it into each of our web sites. These ingredients mix up well and work great across all major platforms and web browsers. This means that your web site will look and work great on just about any computer.

Photo by JamieBuilding your dream web site is something we are very good at. But, what good is a web site without any visitors? There are many ways to drive users to web sites. There are the conventional advertising methods such as business cards, flyers, postcards, magazine ads, television ads, etc. These methods will allow people to remember the URL of your web site and type it in exactly when they have the chance. Not too bad as long as you have a catchy web address. What if they have a typo? What if they just can’t remember?

The best thing to do is utilize the search engines - everybody else does. May people don’t even know how to use the address bar on their web browser. They simply rely 100% on the search box.

A Word about SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Armco BuildersFuel Multimedia uses what folks in the web design community refer to as “White hat tactics” for achieving search engine placement. These tactics will gain you guaranteed results for your desired search phrases, without the risk of being penalized by the search engines for using “Black hat tactics” or search engine spam.

Because of abuse from web design spammers, search engines have been forced to get very tactful on how they apply page rank. You can’t simply list your desired keywords and expect the search engines to associate them with your website. You have to achieve a balance between keyword density, link text and readability for your visitors. Perhaps this could best be illustrated by a few examples:

Big City TattooLet’s say these are your desired keyword search phrases:
Jacksonville Web Design, Florida Web Design, Fuel Multimedia (note that a search phrase is what a user might type to find your site. Target search phrases can share keywords.)

1. Too Dense: Good for search engines, bad for visitors.

Bahamas Island ParadiseWould you even finish reading a paragraph like that if you came across it on the web? I really don’t think so. Every other word is a hyperlink! What’s the point of pleasing the search engines if visitors instantly dismiss your website as the ramblings of a madman?

2. Not Dense Enough: Good for visitors, bad for search engines.

“Fuel Multimedia: A Web Design Company

“We at Fuel Multimedia provide web design services to Jacksonville, Florida and the surrounding cities. We are always exploring new methods of implementing today’s emerging technologies. Between our chief designer and lead developer, we boast nearly 20 years of experience. Our team of creative problem solvers is always up for a good challenge! For more information, please click here.”

This piece is certainly much easier to read, but there’s a mere single occurrence of your desired key words! The only 2 words that were repeated are “of, we, for, our, always & and.” Search engines would ignore most of these words anyways. In short, your page would achieve little to no web page rank. The search engines would simply not know how to classify it.

This piece has a much better balance of readability and SEO tact. There are a few hyperlinks to other areas of the site. Our desired keywords “web” and “design” were repeated 6 times. “Fuel, Multimedia, Jacksonville and Florida” were repeated 3 times. The key is to spread these repetitions throughout the page without it becoming painfully obvious to the reader.
